Manatees Huddling Together To Stay Warm In Florida

As temperatures continue to plunge as winter fast approaches, humans aren't the only species looking to keep heated during the season.

Footage shot in Florida showing dozens of manatees cuddling up together in order to stay warm was posted to social media on Monday.  

The manatees gathered together at Three Sisters Springs in Crystal River, which is located about 75 miles north of Tampa, according to FOX 13. 

The footage was uploaded to the Discover Crystal River Florida Facebook. 

As air temperatures dipped below 30 degrees Fahrenheit at dawn on Monday, Fox 13 reported the waters where the manatees had gathered was a comfortable 73 degrees. 

On Saturday, temperatures reached their coldest of the season, dipping in the low 30s around Crystal River.
